Cabinet Refacing

Kitchen Cabinet Refacing, The Affordable and Green Alternative

Are you ready to have the look of a brand new kitchen at the fraction of the cost? If your kitchen is facing middle-age and is still in good shape, then refacing by E-Z Kitchens Inc. is the answer for you. Restore it by replacing the old doors with new ones and refacing the face frames and end panels with matching solid wood and wood veneers.

What are the advantages of refacing vs new cabinets?

  • Reusing your good solid cabinets. Better for the earth and your budget.
  • We can build new cabinets to match your existing cabinets. Allowing for any type of modifications.
  • We use real wood veneers. Allowing us to match your cabinets to their new doors and drawer faces.
  • Usually no need for electricians or plumbers.
  • If you already have a granite or other stone surface. Your confined to your current cabinets. Not with refacing.
  • Work is completed within 4-5 days, not weeks or months.
  • A fraction of the mess and aggrevation associated with kitchen remodels.

Veneer Panels

Northern Contours manufactures membrane pressed veneer panel products for a variety of uses: Kitchen Cabinet Doors, Passage Doors, Office and Residential Furniture and Architectural Millwork. These veneered panels typically replace edge-glued solid lumber products.

Veneer is cut, spliced and sized in our environmentally controlled veneer processing facility. Our specifications are directly tied to the grades outlined in the Hardwood Plywood Veneer Association (HPVA) standards.

We work with a long list of species including:

  • Ash
  • White Oak
  • Maple
  • Walnut
  • Hickory
  • Red Oak
  • African Mahogany
  • Cherry
  • Alder
  • Pine

A variety of standard particleboard and medium density fiberboard cores, both interior and exterior grade, are stocked in our factory. Single or double-sided raised panels are profiled in square or arched styles.

We take great pride in our ability to hold very tight tolerances in the machining of these panels. Our quality and consistency of our profile and flat sanding distinguishes our products in the industry. The result of this attention to detail is excellent corner definition and a panel that fits perfectly into your door profile according to plan. It also means a more consistent, even finish for your doors. You’ll see quality in every shipment.

Veneer Insert Panels provide the following advantages:

Stability – By design, veneer panels maintain their size. Hard wood panels expand and contract with seasonal humidity. This change in size can cause the panels to rattle within the door or show a “white line” along the edges.

Uniformity – Grain and Color consistency are big advantages in selecting veneer panels over hardwoods. The finished doors provide a uniform, pleasing appearance.

Fewer Defects – Working with veneers, defects can be more easily removed than with hardwood panels, resulting in a premium product.

Environmentally Friendly – Using veneers gives us greater yield from diminishing hardwood resources.

Price – Veneered panels are significantly less expensive compared to edge-glued panels.

Time Saving – Veneer panels arrive sanded and ready for finishing. Manufacturers can eliminate the insertion of foam bumbers or spaceballs into the frame stiles and rails – a necessary step to guard against shrinkage when using hardwood inserts. Outsourcing veneer panels allows manufacturers to increase door production.
